ProLines

Reap the benefits of an automated geospatial production workflow!

As the use of geospatial data and imagery increases, so does the need for an effective approach to transform this data into spatial information. Many organizations require a cost-effective and time-efficient strategy for their geospatial production workflows. There is a strong requirement for an automated production environment – a solution that delivers quality results and allows individual geospatial skills to be allocated to analysis, decision making, and project management, rather than mundane geospatial data processing.

PCI Geomatics is on the cutting edge of the geomatics software market and offers the tools and technology that can automate your image production workflows. PCI Geomatics’ ProLines are logical sets of geospatial processing tasks that are linked to provide complete automated image process flows including orthorectification, mosaicking, and pan-sharpening.

ProLines Technology

How are ProLines built?

ProLines are built using the PCI Pluggable Functions (PPF) framework. This framework allows users to access geospatial processes from multiple environments and configure the task by a set of parameters. This open architecture supports the creation of scalable workflows, where a user strings various tasks together to achieve a suitable custom workflow, which can either be built in a C++, Java, EASI, or Python environment, or any combination, or in a GUI-based modeling environment.

The ProLines environment supports vast amounts of data from multiple sources (more than 100 different geospatial data formats) for data ingestion and dissemination in any workflow. Our technology is also tightly integrated with Oracle Spatial databases – providing users with efficient access to grid and vector data from a centralized repository.

The production environment is flexible, allowing seamless integration of any existing software system or application into a complete solution. Users have complete control of the workflow management and can include breakpoints for quality control, created output process logs, and include operator intervention as required. ProLines are readily modifiable and can be easily altered to reflect new and changing needs on the workflow or business level, or both.

What kinds of workflows are available?

ProLines consist of a framework that involves data ingestion, imagery processing and distribution at an enterprise scale. The process functions are based on our renowned geospatial algorithms. PCI Geomatics core technology supports workflows that involve tasks such as orthorectification, mosaicking, DEM extraction, pan-sharpening and Oracle GeoRaster loading.
